My clients were empty nesters who just purchased their new home with no clue where to begin with designs and updates. The couple wanted a bright, colorful home ideal for entertaining, but functional and comfortable. The must have was to make their bright red cherrywood flooring work with the new design and make it less overpowering, but keep the space colorful and bright.

The Fireplace
This is one of my favorite transformations. Their fireplace and built-ins near the kitchen were dated and the layout needed to be reconfigured. By removing the built-in drawers and shelves, I was able to create a design around the fireplace that was more suited to their needs. I designed a custom built in and fireplace complete with a wine fridge, storage shelves and lighting. I custom designed all the details on the woodwork to create added visual appeal and my favorite part is the stacked stone for the fireplace complete with raised hearth for additional seating. The end result was a stunning and sophisticated focal point of the room.
