WILLOW GLEN
This family of 4 purchased this larger home better suited for their current and future needs, but needed help updating the homes dated interior. The ask was to deliver a design that was inviting for guests, comfortable for the family and kid friendly. The hardwood floors throughout the home were a light pale yellow but in immaculate condition. Rather than ripping out all the floors, to save money, we opted to have them refinished and added a deeper stain creating a beautiful and much softer finish throughout.
The final designs and furnishings are cohesive and kid-friendly without sacrificing style, and the decor and styling beautifully layer finishes and materials for a harmonious blend of texture and color for maximum visual appeal ..

THE FIREPLACE
A must-have was an updated fireplace that could serve as the room's focal point and could be enjoyed by the family during the winter months. I had an updated gas fire insert installed surrounded by slate stacked stone and finished it off a custom designed wood mantle. In addition, I raised the hearth to add additional seating to the room for when entertaining guests.
THE MUDROOM
The final must-have was a dedicated mudroom to help organize the chaos when coming and going with the kids and to move the laundry room indoors. With the limited amount of space in the room next to door to the garage, I was able to create a plan that not only gave them all their asks, but functioned perfectly and looked beautiful as well.
I had the plumbing shifted and designed a custom cabinet to accommodate a stackable washer and dryer with additional storage above for their laundry supplies. With remaining granite slab from the kitchen counters, I was able to create a perfect space for sorting and folding laundry with an open area underneath for laundry basket and additional storage.
Lastly, I designed a custom bench and cabinet where the kids could sit to put their shoes on, store additional items in the drawers underneath the bench and hooks to hang their coats and backpacks. The tall custom cabinet design includes pull out shelving made to organize and store their shoes and keep them out of sight.
